Voca & Open Source Politics are partners

We are delighted to announce a new and strategic partnership that marks a significant milestone in our journey towards making Decidim available to the most. Voca's partnering with Open Source Politics is a testament to our commitment to increase the value proposition of our Decidim service offer with Voca.

Voca & Open Source Politics

Open Source Politics is an experienced actor and has led the deployment and installation of 150 Decidim platforms in France and beyond since 2017. Voca is an Open SaaS for Decidim that allows the launch of platforms in minutes and easily manages multiple independent platforms. This collaboration represents a perfect synergy of our respective strengths and opens up new opportunities for both our organization and our valued customers and users.

At Voca, we have always prioritized collaboration to build a common for open governance, and our partnership with Open Source Politics aligns seamlessly with this objective. Together, we will be able to offer access to Decidim with support and training to a new category of users by allowing Open Source Politics to launch and manage smaller and more budget-friendly Decidim instances.

« We know that Decidim is a highly modular tool, which is great as it can be used to carry out a multitude of different participatory processes. On the other hand, this modularity can lead to a certain complexity in configuration and therefore a high cost of support. We have contributed to the development of Voca over the past two years with the aim of simplifying access to Decidim for more organizations. We are delighted to be able to offer this new service with trusted and talented partners from the Decidim community. »

– Valentin Chaput, co-founder and managing director of Open Source Politics

“Considering “Power To The People” as the essence of all democratic gestures, citizen participation technologies such as Decidim need to be as accessible as possible. The modularity, ethics, and popularity of Decidim inspired us to embark on a journey to make participation easier to access, configure, distribute, and scale. For this, we couldn’t have dreamt of a better partner than Open Source Politics, one of Europe’s most experienced Decidim specialists. The level of their support and experience is a perfect match to build Voca’s product experience.”

– Lucien Langton, Strategy Lead for Voca

Following our commitment to open finances and keeping this project aligned with the purpose of Voca, we are happy to announce that we are now able to set up and run Decidim platforms in collaboration with Open Source Politics (including: hosting, maintenance, and support).

To conclude

We are incredibly excited about this new chapter in our company's history and the opportunities it presents. We want to express our gratitude to our customers and partners for their unwavering support and trust in building a collaborative product for participatory democracy. Together with Open Source Politics, we look forward to this exciting new journey!
